Business and management support

Step back from the daily rush, see the bigger picture and turn strategy into action

Running a business means making decisions across many areas: strategy, marketing, sales, operations, finance, people, customer service and risk. In the day-to-day rush, it's easy to spend most of your time on urgent matters, put off important issues and move from one opportunity to another without deciding where to focus.

A free initial consultation for your business

Is there a business challenge you're unsure how to handle? A decision you've been putting off, or an issue you'd like to discuss with someone else?

We'll arrange a personal online meeting of around 30 minutes. We'll briefly get to know your business, focus on one challenge and explore what you'd like to achieve, what you've tried so far and what's holding you back. After the meeting, I'll send you a short summary covering:

  • An initial perspective on the challenge you raised
  • Possible approaches worth considering
  • Practical first steps to move forward

If you're unsure what to focus on, we'll choose together during the meeting.

It's hard to see the whole picture from inside the business. Sometimes it helps to pause and bring in a fresh pair of eyes.

Ongoing business support creates a regular time and space to step back from daily work, take a broader look at your business, identify improvements and turn decisions into clear tasks. Together, we'll prioritise ideas, decide who will do what, define how we'll measure results and review progress in subsequent meetings.

Who will you be working with?

Yaron Shaool

My name is Yaron Shaool. I'm 52 (but feel 32). I grew up on Kibbutz Revivim in southern Israel, and I'm married to Eleyor; together, we have four children. I have an MSc in industrial and management engineering (information systems) from Ben-Gurion University.

Over the past 25 years, I've worked in entrepreneurship, technology and venture management across several fields, including many years running an online business. In the past two years, I've founded two ventures built around AI systems: Safeion.ai and Whagentize.com.

My experience with technology and AI has strengthened my belief that personal connections, listening and trust are the foundation of successful work. I work directly with my clients to understand both what you're asking for and what your business goals are.

What is business and management support?

This is an ongoing working relationship with the business owner or manager. We meet twice a month to review how the business is doing, check progress on tasks, examine data and explore an area that needs attention. You remain responsible for managing the business and making decisions. My role is to help you:

  • See the bigger picture
  • Ask questions that don't always come up during daily work
  • Consider alternatives
  • Identify problems and opportunities
  • Choose where to focus
  • Turn decisions into tasks
  • Measure results
  • Maintain progress over time

What will we work on?

The topics vary from business to business and evolve as we work together. At each stage, we'll focus on what can create the most value for your business.

Strategy and priorities

Where you want the business to go, which goals matter most and where to invest your time and resources.

Marketing

How your business reaches the right customers, the message it communicates, which marketing activities work and what could improve.

Sales

How enquiries are handled, how the sales process works, where deals stall and what could help improve your conversion rate.

Production, operations and delivery

How your product or service is produced and delivered, where delays, mistakes or unnecessary work occur and how to improve the process.

Finance and financial management

Reviewing revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, pricing and financial metrics that inform decisions. This support helps you use financial information to manage your business; it does not replace the work of your accountant or tax adviser.

Customer service and retention

How your business supports customers after a sale, what brings them back, which problems recur and what you can learn from their feedback.

Measurement and monitoring

Whether your business measures the right things and whether the available information helps you make decisions. We'll select a small set of useful metrics that show what's happening in your business, rather than simply producing more reports.

Business opportunities

Exploring new products, services, partnerships, audiences or sales channels, and turning suitable opportunities into an action plan.

Risks

Identifying business, operational, financial or technology risks and exploring ways to reduce them. Where legal, accounting or other specialist advice is needed, we'll involve the appropriate professional.

How does the process work?

01Introductory meeting

Before we start, we'll meet with the business owner or CEO to understand the business's goals, main challenges, the areas you'd like to focus on and how quickly the business can implement changes. We'll also agree on how and where the meetings will take place.

02First working session

In the first session, we'll start mapping the main processes in your business and identify where the greatest difficulties and untapped opportunities lie. The meeting summary will include points and questions to consider over the following two weeks. At this stage, we'll take time to understand the situation before setting priorities or an action plan.

03Second working session

In the second session, we'll revisit the ideas from our previous meeting and the thoughts that developed over the intervening two weeks. We'll prioritise the areas to focus on first, agree on an initial direction and turn it into an action plan for the coming period.

04Two working sessions per month

In each meeting, we'll:

  • Review the relevant metrics.
  • Check progress on tasks from the previous meeting.
  • Explore a topic or process chosen in advance.
  • Consider problems, alternatives and opportunities.
  • Make decisions and define tasks.
  • Agree on who is responsible, the deadline and how we'll measure the result.

05Preparation and follow-up between meetings

Between meetings, I'll review relevant materials and data, consider the issues we've discussed and prepare questions, analysis or alternatives for our next session. After each meeting, I'll update the list of decisions and tasks and follow up on progress as agreed.

06Reviewing progress

We start with a three-month period. Towards the end, we'll review progress, the value of our work together and the areas that still need attention. We'll then decide whether to continue with the same arrangement, change the frequency of meetings or finish.

In-person or online meetings. I believe meeting in person can be especially valuable at the start, and when it helps to see your working environment and processes firsthand. Depending on location and your needs, we can meet in person, online or use a combination of both.
