Mapping opportunities, identifying risks and building a practical two-year roadmap
People often assume that a task requiring human knowledge and experience is unsuitable for AI. This assumes AI is only useful for automated processes. Today's advanced AI tools also enable people and AI to work together, combining their strengths. These tools create opportunities to improve your business and expand what your employees can achieve.
How can AI create real value for your organisation?
AI can bring value to an organisation in three main ways:
Efficiency — saving time and reducing costs
Effectiveness — achieving better results with the same resources
Quality — improving the product or service your business offers
When considering AI for an organisational workflow, we need to define the type of value it could create and how we'll measure it. A single workflow can deliver value in more than one category.
Get in touch, and we'll explore how AI could create value for your organisation.
I usually start by speaking with the relevant people in the organisation to understand how things work today. Think of your business as a system made up of processes, each containing smaller processes. At the broadest level, many businesses can be described like this:
Find a customer → Make a sale → Receive payment → Deliver a product or service → Complete the process.
To find where AI could fit, we need to break these processes down until we can identify specific activities where it could help and assess whether using it would be worthwhile.
Types of tasks suited to AI:
Tasks that can be broken down into small, clearly defined parts, some of which AI can complete independently.
Complex tasks that require an employee and AI to work together, each contributing complementary strengths. These workflows are harder to introduce because they also require employees to change how they work, but they hold significant potential.
My name is Yaron Shaool. I'm 52 (but feel 32). I grew up on Kibbutz Revivim in southern Israel, and I'm married to Eleyor; together, we have four children. I have an MSc in industrial and management engineering (information systems) from Ben-Gurion University.
Over the past 25 years, I've worked in entrepreneurship, technology and venture management across several fields, including many years running an online business. In the past two years, I've founded two ventures built around AI systems: Safeion.ai and Whagentize.com.
My experience with technology and AI has strengthened my belief that personal connections, listening and trust are the foundation of successful work. I work directly with my clients to understand both what you're asking for and what your business goals are.
How does the process work?
Initial meeting and scope of work
In our first meeting, we'll get to know your organisation, your leadership team's goals and why you're considering an AI strategy now. Together, we'll define the scope: the areas of the business to review, the people to speak with, the number of interviews and workshops, and the required deliverables. After the meeting, I'll prepare a written proposal covering the scope, process, timeline and price. Once you've approved it, we'll move to the next stage.
01
Reviewing the current situation
We'll review relevant information and documents, existing workflows, the systems your organisation uses and previous or current efforts to introduce AI.
02
Speaking with managers and employees
I'll interview a representative sample of managers and employees from the main areas of the business. The aim is to understand how work happens in practice and identify needs, difficulties and opportunities that may be less visible to leadership.
03
Mapping opportunities
I'll bring together the potential uses of AI and assess each one for business value, feasibility, information availability, cost, risks and the level of organisational change required. The assessment will also identify ideas that aren't worth pursuing at this stage.
04
Setting priorities with leadership
We'll review the opportunities and discuss priorities together. We'll choose which initiatives to move forward with, which to defer and what needs to be in place to implement them.
05
Preparing the strategy and roadmap
Once we've agreed on priorities, I'll draft the strategy and roadmap for the next two years. Your leadership team will be able to comment and suggest changes before I prepare the final version.
06
Presenting the plan
I'll present the findings, priorities, risks and recommended steps to your leadership team. After receiving your feedback, I'll deliver the final report.
07
What will you receive?
You'll receive an AI strategy report and a two-year roadmap. The meetings and interviews are also a significant part of the service's value. They create space for meaningful discussions about how your organisation works, and those discussions can sometimes lead to immediate improvements.
Depending on the agreed scope, the report will include:
An executive summary
An overview of the current situation
An assessment of your organisation's readiness
A map of opportunities to use AI
Prioritised initiatives
Recommended initiatives to start with
Steps for the first 90 days
A plan for months 3–6
A plan for months 6–12
Direction for the second year
Data and system requirements
Employee training recommendations
Risks and recommendations for managing them
Defined responsibilities and decision-making arrangements
Metrics for assessing progress and business value
The report will stand on its own, so you can implement the plan without continuing to work with me. If you'd like my help implementing some of the initiatives, we'll agree on that as a separate engagement.
Clear, fair pricing
Every organisation has a different structure, set of needs and level of complexity, so the price depends on the agreed scope. In our initial meeting, we'll define the areas to review, the number of interviews and workshops, and the required deliverables. You'll then receive a clear, fixed-price proposal for the entire engagement.
After the initial meeting, you'll receive a written proposal with a fixed price for the full process.
In most cases, the expected cost is $3,500–$25,000, depending on the size of your organisation and the scope of the work.
VAT is required for Israeli businesses only.
The proposal will define the work from start to finish, including the final report and the number of meetings and workshops included. If the scope needs to expand during the work, we'll discuss and agree on the change before moving forward.
